On January 10th we left Tel Aviv and drove for about an hour to a small town in the north
of Israel called Kiryat Tivon.
The next day we drove for a while to a place right on the Jordan border it was called Hamat Gader. Hamat Gader is a zoo and natural hot springs. The zoo was really cool we got to hold an adorable bunny. There were also a ton of crocodiles and alligators. The hot springs were amazing! The hot springs were nice and hot - it was 108 degrees fahrenheit! We also got to see Jordan!
Then we had a quiet school/work day.
The next interesting day we went to a very old city called Akko or Acre in english. In Akko we went into an underground tunnel it was really fun! In Akko there is a very old Turkish bathhouse. the bathhouse was really amazing, this is what the bathhouse was like: when you first walk in there are a bunch of you could say massaging rooms where people would give you massages. Then as you continue to walk through the bathhouse there is a big steam room it is really hot and you would lie on this heated stone and get washed and massaged. The roof had holes with glass put into them to trap the steam.
On Sunday we drove to the Golan heights first we tried to drive to a tree planting center, but we got lost and ended up spending another half an hour in the car. Finally we found the place after dad called a few times. We then followed a guy for a few minutes, chose saplings then planted them in marked spaces. After that then we drove over to a mountain called Mt. Bental it is a tall mountain that overlooks the Syrian border. There is also a cafe on the top so we all got drinks there. Then on the way back to Kiryat Tivon we drove to a small old town called: Tzfat. There I looked at tallit for my bat mitzvah I bought myself a yad and Adam bought himself a dreidel.
The next exciting day we drove up to Rosh Hanikra where we took a cable car down to some beautiful grottoes then we took the cable car back up. The water there was very blue and clear. Then we had lunch at a restaurant that overlooked the ocean and the Lebanon border. After lunch we drove down to some tide pools there were a lot of tide pools but there were no fish in them only snails, but we did see one jellyfish. Personally I really liked the tide pools because they were beautiful, we got to get some amazing rocks and, I really like climbing and feeling the breeze of the ocean in my hair. After Rosh Hanikra we drove down to Haifa looked at the Baha'i Gardens, played at a playground then ate dinner.
I really liked the north I thought it was much prettier than Tel Aviv. There was also lots of green grass unlike Tel Aviv a want to come back to the north some day!

Great grotto picture! If you do return some day, you'll have to check out how much your tree has grown.
