Jerusalem by Adam

We drove from Eilat to Jerusalem. We got to Jerusalem around 3:00. We checked into our house. The next day we had a tour of the tunnels that ran along the Western Wall. It was awesome. There were stones the size of school buses. There were cisterns filled with water. After that we walked back to the Western Wall and then we walked to the Jewish Quarter. Then we walked through the shuk back to our place.

On Thursday we went to the Israel Museum. We saw many things:

  • The Dead Sea Scrolls - How they found the scrolls was that a boy was herding goats when one went to a cave. The boy through a rock to scare it out but it hit the Dead Sea Scrolls instead.
  • The Nano Bible - The Nano Bible was made out of gold and how they wrote in it was with a laser.
  • Temples - There was the German Temple which was stylish. There was the Venetian Temple that was ornate. There was the Indian Temple that had lots of wood. And there was the Suriname Temple that was modern with sand on the floor.
The next day we packed up and left. We drove to the archaeological dig. So there they gave us instructions on how to dig. I found a lot of pottery and bones. They are 2,300 years old. Then after that we went spelunking in a cave lit by candlelight. After that we got back into the car and drove away.
